when you get them, do let us know how they look, but i'm more interested in the cutoff it has, if you could get a picture like this in front of a house or garage: http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt14 ... G_1213.jpg
So Far, Osnap! Is that turbo? Me: ( Why Yes It Is ) Nice car... The kicker is that it says "turbo all trac" on my spoiler and my Hks Bov is really loud....
Lol, people sometimes. I bet you get alot of stares and "what the hell kind of car is that" kind of stares. not many people know older toyotas ours especially.
@Steve : Yes a new radiator cap is a good idea but I'll be buying an aluminum radiator after I fix my integra's... @James : Yea man I was really lucky I knew the area, It's one of those area's that have a lot of car places. After my car almost overheated... I replaced the thermostat, all fuses that say fan on it to find out... my freaking fan isn't turning on it's own... FTL! Took me about 2min's before I realized my fan wasn't spinning! It's wired to spin when you turn the key to "On" it works if you spin it by hand :cuss, so I'll be getting two 12" fans ASAP! And I should be getting the headlights soon so stay tuned! Also went to the junk yard a few weeks ago, an saw a st185 hood an got the vents and a Subaru hood scoop let me know what you guys think tho got them all for about 15 bucks.
Use the small vents - if you must Burn the big one- 1) It's not an STI! 2) There's already HP air under your bonnet, unless it's sealed to an airbox or IC - air will actually try to get out through it at speed 3) A dummy supercharger would look better, :hehe No offence to anyone, it's YOUR car - I just think the orignal is the best
Hehe, great input guys keep it up! I want a little vote on this! I wanted a reverse scoop from the get go get yea here's a link to that: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03-Bu ... ccessories
With Stig on this as well. But I do like those little vents. I don't know, for me I'd try going for a hood scoop/air inlet like Rev-Head's, Schmooot etc. From a design perspective they really flow with the body and compliment the hood. And I bet they function just as well as they look. Here's one I've found, I believe he's a member of the site?
Yeah, that does look like it's part of the car and not just randomly stuck on, which is what we don't like to see.
just for refference sake, heres my bonnet. to me the key is making it blend in and look factory rather then an addition flatliner your to kind ops
thanks but i was serious, i want it........if you lived by me i would have to come over and borrow it everyday.
Well I think we have a winner! :lol2 Looks like I'll be getting the hood scoop! I thought it would cost more but $36 dollars is pretty cheap lol, well at least now I'll have a 100% celica look! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universa ... ccessories
Not a fan of altering the original body, there's tasteful and a fine line to tacky This is one of the better examples The wing I don't care for, the vents still look "stuck on" Plenty more to study here - http://st162.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=4531
