I wrote this report on the Celica Club UK forum. The names will be unfamiliar, but it will give you an idea of the wonderful day we had. :)

The day of our much anticipated second anniversary Celica gen 4 meet had arrived ! Weather was predicted with rain, but we hoped for the best.

Myself and Rich ( Alwayzsidewayz ) set off for the Coventry Transport Museum at 9:30 a.m. in the pouring rain :( It would've been too late to cancel as the others were already halfway through making their 2/3 hour journeys. Such dedication from the gen 4 boys, we had to show up....as they say, "the show must go on !"

Having arrived at the museum, the doors were still locked, and myself and Rich were drenched ! We didn't have to wait long for the doors to open, when the security staff went to unlock the bollards for us.

The gen 4 convoy finally made it at around 11a.m. and what a sight it was ! It gave me goose pimples to see them pulling in one by one, I felt so proud, like they were my children  The rain was easing off a little and we had the whole space to ourselves, as the Mercedes club decided not to turn up ( no dedication there ! ).

We all went outside to share greetings, followed by coffee to warm ourselves up. We managed to take over most of the coffee shop, and there was a pretty Polish waitress ( Derren knows what I'm talking about ).

Everyone had arrived bar Kevin ( 77 Liftback ) who was travelling all the way from Norfolk in his newly acquired black Celica. On Kevin's arrival, I was admiring his new car and it is a very good buy. Still can't work out the colour scheme of the seats .....grey fishbone pattern and blue ?

By around midday, everybody had settled into the show and the sun was coming out :) We decided to arrange the Celicas into a triangle formation for a photo shoot. It was a lot of fun and taken very seriously indeed with Rich directing above and Adrian ( Ady 89gt ) checking all the angles through his "professional photograpers camera". Members of the public were watching in awe as our awesome Celicas were going through their paces. Every now and then there were random people taking photos with our cars. We had to keep a watchful eye on our cars, as there were young scallywags opening the doors for fun. Credit to Derren ( thesherve ) for being the security guard along with Dave ( Reworx ) who came along because he wants a Celica gen 4 soon .

We had great fun taking the photos, but then Steve ( Itchy ) had a problem with his car. He needed a part welded straight away before he could get home, so I ( being a my home City ) took him to Kwik Fit and managed to solve the problem there and then.

By the time I came back with Steve, people were getting ready to leave. It was another amazing Gen 4 day.

Many thanks to each and everyone who made the long journey to Coventry. Special thanks to Rich ( Alwayz) for making it happen , even though he's sold his Celica. I hope you will still have a hand in future meetings, I couldn't have done it without you.

    Awesome meet :)
I wish we could arrange something like that here, but usually I'm the only and lonely T16 owner at our Toyota Sport meets :\
