No bracing yet, but I havent evrn driven the car since the initial testing. Its way too cold to do anything. Im hoping that Ill finish the brace by spring along with other things.

Wow I havent updated this in a while. Lets see, after we did the turbo kit I switched it back to my previous setup b/c the turbo seals were bad and it would smoke even at idle. I will be getting it rebuilt over the winter. Car has been running great and the only changes since the last time I posted was:

-different rims (sold my gts wheels)
-bigger water injection nozzle (400cc) and soft braided lines and -an fittings instead of the nylon hose (its safer)
-Whiteline front swaybar
-aem wideband
-mbc
-heat wrapped down pipe and midpipe
-asi alum rad
-spec stg3 clutch (stock one had plenty of meat on the disk but it wouldnt even hold 15psi in 3rd)
-spec lightweight flywheel
-bunch of maintenance stuff when the engine was out

Recently went to the track to do the quarter mile. A couple videos of my better runs:







Drag racing is fun but Ill have to admit that I like autox better. The bad thing about drag racing is that it makes you have that urge to mod your car more lol. Ill prob go to the 1/4mile once more this summer and see if I can get more consistant on my launch.

ASI rad is great IMO. My temps were at 188*F even after back to back runs down the track. Not sure why people are getting different results with theirs.

As for the whiteline front sway, I havent autox'ed with it yet. I plan to do an event in two weeks so Ill make sure to report back. On the street it feels much more planted but obviously that doesnt mean much.

For tires I have some junky khumo excta ast tires on there that are 225/50/15 allseasons. These things scream for their lives when I autox on them lol. They came with the rims which came on my white st165 which is now on stock 165 wheels. The rims are 15x7 team dynamics pro race 1.2. I have another set of rims that are 15x7 team dynamics pro race 1.0 that I will be putting much better tires on when I have the money.

Thanks mafix. Ill prob just try and get as much as possible from the stock engine. If it pops ill most likely go with a 2g engine. Im going to work on getting my front mount done asap, I have a tig welder at school I can use so thats nice.

My car tends to oversteer before the front swaybar install so Im hoping it will balance it out. If not I will just compensate with a stiffer rear rate when I get coilovers.

Brakes are stock except for powerslot rotors.
Edit: And ss brake lines.

Yea and ive been driving like that for going on 4yrs now lol. Its not bad to me b/c its not my daily driver, though Im planning on making a straight 3" exhaust out the back some time soon. That should quiet it down a tiny bit.

Thanks, I do like how it sounds. Bad thing is that the exhaust fumes are more noticable b/c it exits under the car. We also have sound level rules but no one has complained about my car

Just did an autox event today. Car feels really good with the front sway bar even with crappy allseason tires Im running. It balanced my car out a bit more, Id imagine if I have some nice sticky tires it would be more evident. It was always way too tail happy in the slaloms but now its no so bad haha. I have a vid where I got really loose at the end of one slalom and spun out, its fun but my times werent the best. All in all not bad for my first time out this season.
