my gas pedal sticks a bit (i think its the peice on the throttle body that actually controls the cable.) anyone know of anything that i can spray or use to fix this?

actually its the other way. The cable controls the thingy on the throttle body. And for something to spray TB cleaner.

I had a problem where mine stuck from time to time, then one day sitting in the parking lot (engine off) I hit it to the floor and it stuck. since I was able to go look this time I found that the edge of the pedal was snagging the edge of the floormat...

i will check the pedal but not too sure thats it as its sticky when i move that peice while under the hood. I will also take some throttle body cleaner and spray it on there and hope it frees it up some.

makes slow excelleration a pain lol. it also makes to car jolt a lil if i let off the gas while driving and then put it back on.

more than likely it is the tb unit needing the carbon build up cleaned off of it. best way to find out which one it is is to remove the throttle cable from the tb, operate the tb by hand and have a buddy operate the pedal while your holding the cable from the engine compartment, you keep constant pressure on it, when your buddy lets off it should stretch out like normal and have no resistance.

if there is resistance in the cable, i learned a little trick, take a small childs balloon and put some wd40 into the balloon(alot of it) and push the pedal to the floor so the cable sucks up into the "sheath" as much as possible, then put the balloon on the end and hold the open part and work the stretch the balloon back and let it go(holding it on the sheath the hole time) this will force the wd40 up inside the cable further than just squirting it in there. This works well with all sorts of cables.
