   i'm almost 100% positive it was the gen 1 3stge, that's the reason they had to race the v8's. otherwise it would be in a lower class.

   That's some other motor - 4AGE maybe? Judging by the head, waterpump position & block
   
   My guess is the motor is turned in a spaceframe chassis with fiberglass cladding
   similar to NASCAR chassis
