Good choice subs. I alwayz found MTX to make great subs for the price. Obviously if u wanna spend some more yea id mos def go wit JL Audio Wat kinda head unit r u lookin at?
they won't be recieving a good signal...and most of the cheap deacks don't have any/not enough pre-outs
I alwayz recommend pioneer head units. It tha most reliable, easy to use radio in my opinion. It wat i use when installing new radios in peeps cars, and i have received no complaints watsoever to this date wit em. Again it jus my opinion, it wat i like, but really recommend u buying one.
I'm taking the headunit out of my daily and putting a new one in it... its an Alpine CDA-7894 Its the way I want it
hey underscore, that is an awesome clarion. how much was it if you dont mind me asking? i am looking to get this panasonic. it doesnt have the greatest wattage or anything like that, but it is clean and i like it. plus it has cool picture features. yaya for cool picture features! :laff: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-BAhXT7N9M9 ... Hmm, should get some pics up of mine. 2 Dual 300w amps for rear speakers and sub 1 75w Alpine amp for front speakers Capacitor (dont remember company) Rockford/Fosgate 12in. sub in a ported box (fucking huge, takes up almost entire rear space) Rockford/Fosgate rear speakers, unsure of size. Infinity Reference fronts (unsure why they also aren't Fosgates, but whatever) 6cd changer under pass. seat Alpine equalizer (something around 12 channel, plus sub, crossover and fade) Alpine headunit (it's a bit old, I'm probably going to replace it with my Kenwood) Wish I could claim credit on the system, but it came with the car. So I guess I'm kinda cheating.
theres more to it , sony explod cd player , 6x9s whch run off the amp , i have finished the amp install just havent got a picture in place with the amp on the carpet getting a sub soon so will with 6x9s ampd and a sub plus the 5inch speakers in rear and the double 4 thngs in the front
i have so been meaning to snap pics of what i got going on...still have not put it in. a little afraid to now since my car got busted into. anyways i will show what i got. later@!
hehe , id get better pics but cars at the shop so i cant , ill get pics with the sub and amp installed later
I like those DUB edition subs... lol They are pretty nice subs, from what I have heard. Looks good rye! I don't know about MDF boxes, as they are just heavy, and usually, not to visually pleasing. It looks like you built it well though! I was thinking about making some boxes, with round faces, or something, to keep the visual appearance clean. Who knows, though, my plans change like I change my underwear... Frequent and always on time... lol I am really liking some of these systems, makes me want to pull out my 15" sub, and find another 1000w amp... Just not motivated enough! I can't wait to mate it up to my new head unit, and punch speakers though! Any suggestions on amps, caps, and wire?
Wire, ebay, I got some 4 gauge off there, 20 ft for $20 with shipping!! can't beat that! And that's for the comments, I plan on covering the box with some urethane of some sort and then carpeting it, as mdf can absorb a lot of moisture over time.... might as well make it good if i want it to last...it'll be covered with some black carpet... and i plan on painting the dub200 symbol on the other sub black to match... woo
Are they both dub editions? Which company makes those? I would assume they are a pretty decent brand... But I also don't think that DUB has their own brand? I seen a DUB edition stereo system at walmart, including a 12" sub, amp, and cap... I wonder how they stack up?
