Severe grinding noise while braking.

    I did refit the pin. I took it off to redo the pin because I recently replaced the CV joint and power steering arm boot.

    Good, they have a nasty habit of working loose and wrecking your wheel bearings

    If youd kept going with that pad this is what your rotor would have ended up looking like - courtesy of my neice in Brisbane

    i remember that picture..... my grandfather drove his nissan primara brakes until they cut a solid disk off.... so he had no back right brake....

    so will stuck pins be the cause of pulling...when i brake?.......but it doesnt pull the same everytime....sometimes left sometimes right....sometimes hard and not so hard other times.

    -i drove my subie till it ate all the way through the outer part of the caliper. towed it home with my dads truck with a chain fed through a 10ft piece of 2in steel pipe. :hehe

    -nate. yep sounds like you need to grease the pins (slides). that can cause uneven pad wear and could mean that a new set of pads is in order aswell.

    -sil-glyde. or something similar. a standard grease wont take as much heat. trust me i tried everything on 09. you brakes should feel 100% better after this. its commonly overlooked. and very easy to fix.

    will do on the next check up...i keep putting off the fuel filter.....
