Yep we decided to drive out and take a look at what the issue was with the all-trac. Turns out there was just a giant F***ing fuse on the battery line that wasn't making a good connection. I just pulled it out and re-tightened the cables and cleaned the fuse and now it's good to go!

So 10 hours of driving and $3500 later this is what I got!

Home made manual boost controller....going to be swapping that out soon. I dont even think it is set up right because I keep overboosting and hitting fuel cut....any one know of a fix?

I have no clue what this is, but the thick cable runs to the center of the Dizzy

Fuel Pressure gauge...no idea what it is supposed to be or how to adjust it....any help on that is also appreciated.

Is this the stock turbo? isn't the stock turbo a CT26C? Does it say that anywhere on it?

Check out the MBC. Righty tighty, lefty loosy. turn the screw clockwise to decrease boost, left to increase boost. Be careful of overboosting, good way to nuke a turbo and/or motor (ask me how I know...).

Ditch the center feed intake manifold. Pick up a 3sge side feed intake. Less intercooler piping and less heat soak. Plus it's a cleaner look.

That thing you see with the wire going to the dizzy is the coil pack (I think, may have wrong terminology or something). Looks like an MSD unit.

That is not a stock turbo. It kinda looks like a Garret M12...

From what I've read online, the MBC was routed completely wrong. The Tee'd line should go to the side nipple on the wastegate not the top nipple...also most people recommend only using the side nipple for MBC's...just a bit of info i've learned. I'm going to swap it later and see how it goes....I may just do away with the boost controller for now to get stock boost.

Yes it is a Garret M12 Turbo from what I've seen. and boy does it spool up fast!! This car is COMPLETELY different from the convertible, it handles much better and the power is a night and day difference.

Great pickup! Any plans for it or just fix the dodgy DIY stuff and leave as is?

Just fix it up to be reliable...maybe over time do some more modifications to it but it has so many done already that i dont know where to start! lol

I do want to take it to a dyno soon to figure out how much HP it has....its going to take a while before I get to that point though...

Mileage reads 165K miles on the body however the engine is out of a USDM 93 MR2 so the exact mileage is unknown.

It does burn a tiny bit of oil so maybe a bit of engine work in the future....hopefully not for quite a while though.

I'd drop the hot side of the intercooler pipes and check for oil traces. Also if it doesn't have one, I'd install an oil catch can. Just a few things you can do to keep track and see the health of your turbo.

Very nice find, and I'd say it's worth the drive. You've got a gem. :drool5

What is a catch can and how does it work? just out of curiosity. I see people talk about them all the time.

Here is a quick clip of the exhaust note....sorry for the sound quality...you can see what I mean by it burning oil though.

You have a hose on the valve cover that goes over to the intake, usually pre-turbo. When the engine is running, the intake sucking in air creates a vacuum and keeps the crankcase pressure down.

The oil catch can goes between the valve cover and intake. When oil gets sucked through it'll get caught in the can. There's DIY on Ctech on how to build one for like $15 bux using air compressor parts. I'm running one on my car and my turbo and intake are clean (not sucking up oil and burning it through the turbo).
