rust issue

    Hi my 88 is very rusty and i plan to restore it. is their anyone who got any idea on how to repair rust and also repair it underbody repair cause i google it and it show me stupid auto body repair shop and collision shops only and even when i call those god dam shop they say they don't do that kind of work stupid shops so i have to work on it myself please help :D thank you.

    Rust can be fixed...it's not too hard as long as you can weld! :D

    Sry i didn't mean to post up so many wasn't sure if anybody was gonna hmm reply lol also i posted up in the wrong area :S hmm Mafix what is your subject under the side section cause i'm not sure where to look for it. Also do both of you think i can repair it easy with rust like for a couple 100 dollars or am i better of getting a whole new body? :/ thank you

    depending on how bad the rust is and how good you are with bodywork it may just be cheaper/easier to buy new/wrecker body panels.

    Rust on the underbody is a tough one. The metal isn't flat, and it's structural on a unibody. Hours and hours of rather hard work, and lots and lots of welding. You also probably need rather thick sheetmetal for the bottom, depending on where it's rusted.

    for rust? cut it out and replace the metal.

    I'm trying to get my parents to let me store the Celi for a few years, then I'll follow Mafix's footsteps to some degree
