Re: Rev Heads beast * fairly large update!*

soooooo today i was like. il be good and work on the car. though id swap in all my suspension bits. so all the control arms i painted up with the new poly bushes, new ball joints, new tie rod ends and the camber plates. wellllllllllllll as always didnt go to plan :aargh

removing the drivers side front control arms. on the rear bush 1 of the bolts going into the body wasnt the right bolt. fought like shit coming out but i got it out. when i went to put the bolt back in there was no thread............shit where the fuck is the nut gone. instantly knew what i had to do.........cut a hole in the wheel well to get access...........shit!
really didnt want to coz 1 there was no guarantee i would be able to fix it and 2 i cant weld for shit.

after some pondering and fiddling i finally bit the bullet and out came the angle grinder :eek:hnoes . i cut an access hole in the wheel well. managed to find the nut and after much fiddling got the nut to take to the bolt. This took up wayyyyyyyy to much of my time so didnt get as much done as i wanted.

i managed to swap the front control arms, fit the new tie rod ends and ball joints and fit my cusco camber tops (prettyyyyyyyyyyy lol). So im gonna do a dodgy weld on it either tonight or tomorow. drive my girlfriends car to work. organise for one of the boys at work to weld it up for me properly then will go from there.,

will get some pics when i can

so i gave the car a much needed service. spoiled her with some double platinum plugs, will see if they are wurth it!

also fitted a oil filter relocation kit and have used a st165 g/box cooler for an oil cooler (yes cleaned the shit out of it 1st lol)
Fitted a 165 alternator snorkel for the hell of it, had it lying around so thought i may aswell.
also have just about finished converting the interior to black, am quite happy with the results thus far.

got a 185 g/box cooler im going to look at fitting aswell when i fit the recoed box i bought wich thus far i have been to lazy to install lol dunno that there are port for me to fit a cooler to the stock ge box tho, havent looked yet

Will get pics up when i can. the cameras being shit and not working!

Sweet Rev, the ST185 cooler won't work with S53/4/5 boxes
    a)No place for the pipes
b)No oil pump to pump the oil

I sold my ST185 cooler the other day, then a ST185 box came up for $30
which I now own so looking for a cooler for it

Plan is to recon the 185 box, convert it and fit it with a gen2 crank and a/m
    light flywheel - big dollars!

My eyes are too big for my budget atm :hehe saw some longer titanium rods (CAMS) from a BMW which will
work with something special I have in mind, guess I'll have to sell some body parts

Now its time for a treat. time to let the cat out of the bag, well atleast a lil. Going to be working on a fairly massive upgrade over the next month or 2. but it all basically revolves around these lil beauties that arrived today

more will be revealed as time goes on. enjoy!

ITB's + gen2 head and manifold, that's where I'd go - put that silly vent to use I say!

Notice any difference in oil pressure?

The alternator needs the whole snorkel, that pipe is actually the exhaust for
    the alternator
Put you hand over it and see, the plastic pipe is supposed to create a vacumm
for the alternator heat to go down under the car.

Right now it's forcing heat into the alternator and the fans are trying to blow towards
    the exhaust manifold

cheers guys, have already started fiddling with the itb's but am waiting on a few things before i can do much else.

    celica_gt-i : got them from Japanparts.com (same as 18x)

Kevyang : the blue oil lines was a lucky coincidence lol. When you look hard enough, and do everything yourself and look at options outside the norm. stuff isnt always that expensive
