Original or swapped

    this just came to mind after looking at mafix's post about engines for sale. They always write the engine model with those white pens on the top of the valve covers or somewhere close. I have all my engine information written on my heat shield in a similar way .

    what are the chances its been swapped?

    me2 id guess some part of it had to have hit a wreckers at some time (mines on my timing cover though haha)

    does your car have a rebuilt status thats normally a giveaway as well

    its got a clean history as far as I know. Its not a problem, I'm just curious

    it could be the part or the whole motor, hard to tell.

  6. chances are its pretty good, does your engine still have the egr?

    another 4th gen in the GTA - nice, gonna have to put a meet together this spring.

    couldn't you just check the engines tags vs chassis?
     
  8. lol, its not a domestic muscle car, we dont have numbers matching cars.

    no1 else has original documentation and factory paint? this thing would go for millions on barret jackson ;)

    oh okay, never knew it only applied to those.

    I have factory paint! cept for my front 1/4's...those were replaced...
