Yenno the more I look at it the more I want to do this look. Keep the skirts and mudflaps and just do the gt4 front bumper. But what the hell am I going to do with all this leftover sideskirts, panels, and pristine rear bumper?

No decals on the side. Just had some stupid stuck on big rubber lower panel protecter which is half temoved.

Also have this to put in at some much later stage after its all built up.

gt4's came in both series as well. this is an 88model. the early S1 had diff lock and elec seats, the later without. but still had the face lift. i have found the proper gtfour face lift grill which i will be exchanging with just the std grill this fri.

this is a JDM model. we didnt get them aus delivered until the gen5 gt4's. i dunno what the rest of the world got in the way of st165's.

It's getting hard to find any GT4's round here that don't have ST205/215 transplants, did you swap the box too?

GT4's were made from 86 to 89, pre and facelift models. The early ones had locking centre diffs which were abandoned before they were sold as Alltracs in other parts of the world.

that is a jdm gt4. they all look like that.
why would you install a beams instead of the antilag st205? that has me curious

Sounds to me like he intends charging the Beams, can't say I've seen one before so it could be mucho interesting

lol, def not installing beams in natmo spec..... will be built+turbo. i will post pics and parts list later.

st205 antilag is all for show. if i had a another stock gen3 mani i'd use that, but this is what i'm stuck with for now.

i know people have added FI to beams, i haven't seen one pushed to the limits like other 3sgtes as yet tho, and none in a gt4, tho i'm sure someone must've.

i will most likely use the 5s block, with added squirters, but std 3s 86 crank for higher rpm potential etc

    Welcome here, and nice car!

Yes there are already several BEAMS engines with boost. Look it here:
    http://www.mr2.com/forums/beams-owners-group/

There are lots of useful informations, some people already made the build, so you can read and learn the way and know the possible difficulties.

Also, if you have any questions regarding the RedTop, feel free to ask and I'll answer gladly to my best knowledge :)

ok, here is the general run down of what i intend to do with the beams engine.
    beams single vvti head
    os valves (ferrea comp+)
    cams around 270-280deg 11-12mm lift
    3sgte std 86mm crank
5s block with oil squirters (using bmw squirters)
pauter x beam rods 3.9mm longer than std to give me a rod/stroke ratio of 1.65 (std is 1.6)
custom pistons with approx 24cc dish and 3.9mm lower crown height than std 3s pistons with valve cuts to suit beams head. prob use modified H22a pistons from CP with coated skirts and crowns.
    haltech PS1000
    ID1000 inj's
gt2860rs+gt3582r both with TIAL Vband housings.

some of these parts i already have
