I used vinyl/fabric dye spray followed by some protectant a few hours later, let it sit for a day or so (just to be safe). Works great, doesnt scratch off or anything (tested via my keys when I closed the door against them *doh*) one more pic of the back which I need to take a shop vac too and re-paint/toss the trunk liner whats the easiest way to get whatever black hard gunk may be left over from the sound deadner? need it off before I can paint thanks for the compliments guys

all I did was cut it, my shift knob has screws that go in instead of screwing on... so I took about 5 inches off, sadly I dont have a welder so I have yet to tackle the actual short shifter diy project. Schmooot, please save if possible, I'm so broke right now... minus 28.00 in my account woot!
