I just remembered that with Sterling he thought he had a 3sgte head not a 3sge head so I checked my 3sge head and the distributor points to about 5 oclock with #1 cylinder at TDC

ROFL. SO it is correct then.

    Oh god.

Left with possibility of blocked cat, weak coil and dodgy ECU...

    What should I try 1st?

Il smuggle a few ECU's out from the wreckers on friday, im going to grab sum mint carpet and a perfect dash for peanuts. Will also grab a few coils.

And knock out my cat, but will that make it noisy? I want it quiet....

    I'd guess coil/wires.

I'd degut the cat no matter what.

If it was the ECU I think you would get some sort of code.

yeah i agree toss off the cat MEOW MEOW ( just kidding!)

i have no cat on mine , was replaced with a resonator , when the previous owener had it.

you get more hp without a cat ?

As stated a million times, It has new wires, made no difference. Wll try some different coils I guess, and gut the cat....
