Identifying a GT-S manual (S53) transmission??

    no it does not have lsd... as for identifying it, i dont know where to see numbers but the ge has the starter underneath the exhaust mani and the fe goes teh other way

    Oh my god. You drove it like you stole it after a rebuild. No wonder it blew up. You need a brake in period of at lease 500 miles of easy driveing were you don't go over 2k RPMs. Good luck with the rebuild though.

    sounds like you need a new speedometer wire thats where the squeeking is coming from and a breaking period is a good idea.

    i couldnt manage to drive the celi under 2k....

    i could, you wont get up to speed very fast but it can be done. i try to stay under 2k as much as possible to save gas. :)

    staying under 3 didnt help me, but my o2 sensor is fubar so that could bemy problem ;p

    i nearly stall if i shift below 2500 :?

    as far as that speedo cable i gotta disconnect mine too, any tips? it looks hidden a bit...

    the plus besides traction to the lsd is almost no torque steer at all(makes for take offs being alot smoother and nicer)

    as for upgrading, if i remember correctly from the old site the main thing was just to get new synchros for it(thats why its grinding anyways)
