Hmm didnt know that. We already replaced the stalk for the lights and it worked for like a week, but now it doesn't. I ordered AutoPals and put them in just to see if it was a bad light, but sadly no. Im that buying the whole combination switch will fix the problem.
The '87 part that came off my GTS US model does have intermittent wiper control on the stalk, so that whole unit will swap right out complete. racerb
Should hook right up no problem, just different pin configuration for options. I'd take $25 plus shipping for it, can check shipping on Tuesday, when Post Office re-opens after President's Day!! racerb
No plugs are usually exactly the same, it's just some have different pins points that are being used, like with the interm. wiper control. They all will plug together, just not use all the pin hole for controls, makes it easy to use same harness in an ST, GT, or a GTS at the Factory!! racerb
The plugs are the same, you lose the intermittent adjust and also the wipers don't automatically move when you push the washer switch.
Great to know! But my light are back on (for the moment). I put the autopals in I ordered and the lows still werent working. A couple days later I randomly check to see if the lights are working and they are. Its strange because if I turn them on sometimes the low beams will flicker on and off and sometimes they work fine. Im thinking something, somewhere is getting wet or there is a loose connection. I just need a wiring diagram that tells where grounds and connections are!!!
The switch is faulty inside the stalk, pull the plug and meter the switch, you'll see what I mean. The giveaway is the high beam light staying on
We've already changed the stalk for the lights, so I don't see how that could be it, unless it broke in less than a week of us putting it on. :/
