ok so i bought a random wackload of fiberglass and stuff last year to do some kickpods. then i was thinking to myself on other things i want to glass and now i have a predicament. my two choices are build the kickpods and wait for a while then glass an air dam or do my custom air dam and mount my components in the door.

o ya my air dam idea consists of.... taking the existing smashed to fuck one wrapping it in fleece and glassing it like that. there may be a hole left about the size of two of those rectangles for air flow. and then smoothed bondoed a bit and painted nice and black

    any comments?

If you make a fiberglass air dam, renforce it with a wire mesh. My aeroform kit is fiberglass. I glassed in some wire mesh, so in the chance i peg something with it hopefully it will just crack and not shatter.

Actually the aroform kit takes a pretty good beating. Just ask Mafix. The front piece on his along the bottom has been re-fiberglassed in multiple times. So many infact that I am tired of fixing it.

The rear also seems to handle it pretty good. Willie got nailed one night afterwork. Took a little bit of time to fix, but only broke the bondo/fiberglass where we had molded it along the rear tail lights.

yeah the aeroform kit also acts great as a:
    mud plow
    snow plow
    driveway leveler
    anti tow truck device
