Its probably easier for you to work on the pasenger side since you have done it allready so heres the passenger side harness.

Check this plug against your passenger side plug to see if they are interchangeable
    [IMG]

It even came with a part number
    [IMG]

An its the correct part number

it looks like it will plug up but then it wont work. i'll have to do a lot of rewiring to get them to work properly on both sides.

for sure i have 5 wires running into the passenger side mirror now...

and it seems like a lot of wiring up that needs to be done if i want my mirriors to work. :T
if you look closely its only two wires that are up and ready to roll and thats just for the interior door light.
look at all the empty slots that needs to be filled. :D
    [IMG]
seems like the work is cut out for me....

in the end it will be worth it. my st will be a gt soon. :) not really but yea.....one day.

i also looked into the spot where the wires run up to. there are a whole bunch of wires that run up to there. the fuse box! there you go. that was the word if was looking for. but yea, anyways, i tried to take it out but then there was a bolt at the top holding it on. i got the bottom clip to come loose not the top bolt though. it looks like a tough spot to get to and it looks like i'd have to take off a whole bunch of stuff to get to it. :C

would you not be better to find a scrap celica and rob the loom!!

yea, i could do that. but then the junks here cost like $2 to get in. so, if were to steal it, it would cost $2 lol. but im not looking to do that though.

Yes you got alot of work!!!
The drivers side plug is part of the main fuse box wiring harness
    [IMG]

and the passenger side plug is built right into the fusebox wiring harness on that side
    [IMG]

So you would need to pull the 2 door harnesses and also all the wiring harnesses under the dash (their a real treat to remove)

Kevin, I think you've got the coolest ST ever ;-). Nice job on bringing it to where it is. The demist on my mirrors (GT-S) seems to be intermittent, and I think the left mirror I replaced it with doesn't have the wiring for it. I might take another look at it someday though. Having power mirrors is awesome.

You need to remove the dash once thats out it should be pretty easy to get the fuse boxes and their associated wiring harnesses out.

Is this thread alive anymore? I'm trying to do the exact same thing with my Celica and I'm wondering how to remove all the cables/ where they are attached to the body? Pics would be nice :) Also I have to install the power lock system and change the lock to that, how is the lock attached to the handle/ the door?

I need some room in the passengers side, if I were to install the power windows. The problem is that my Celica has aircon and the cables seem to be behind the aircon unit. Can the unit be removed/ loosened so I can get my hands on the cables. I have to install a few wires to the connectors so I have to have good visibility and clearance to the fusebox and connectors.

Why does the 4 gen Celica have to be so stuffed?? :D The Dash was a real b*tch to remove and now this :D It's like a maatuska (google) and the fault/feature is in the smallest piece :)

I have come up with yet another possible problem. The Relay Integration box and the Retraction Control box are different, so will I have problems installing the power windows, seatwarmers, power lock or power mirrors? I don't yet know if there are any more differences in the electrics between 1989 Liftback and my 1988 Coupe..

If anyone knows anything about this situation, please let me know :) Am I way over my head in this project? :D
