since i have an st and not any of the other ones. i was wondering some where hidden i might find the plugs for the electircal mirrors? i found one, i think it is to control the mirrors, under the center console. am i right? then, since i discovered that little thing i wondered if it were possible that the plugs to the mirrors are hidden too or would i have to get that too..............someone confirm please?

Check my thread (page 2) for pics of the plugs etc

Your harness may just have it built in, there should be 3/5 pin plugs
on the door below the mirrors as well.

The retract type have a controller/computer in the passenger door as well, but I don't
see one for the normal types

ok so i took apart the center console and found that plug...

..when i took a look at how many pins it would hold i counted 7. correct me if im wrong
    [IMG]

then i went and opened up the side doors and this is what i found.
it looks the same on both sides. i wonder if the plastic covers that i know are supposed to be there important?

when i bought my side mirrors on ebay it said manual, but guess what i got....
    :D

and thats all. i also found some unusual plugs on the inside too. i think they go to the red lights on the inside on the doors...one on the passenger side and one on the driver side
    [IMG]

i was trying to see if i had the plugs for the electric mirrors since i find sooooo many unused plugs all over my car. but, i couldnt find anything. so, now im wondering how they are supposed to look like and how they look like installed. any advise would be much appreciated. :D

Well I think you have the right plug in the center console. Heres what the power mirror switch
    plug looks like
    [IMG]

Heres a power door wiring harness
    [IMG]

Your interested in this side of the harness especially the white plug that goes to the power mirror
    [IMG]

A crappy close up of the power mirror plug.

I have, did you find the white plugs hidden in the doors yet?
The amount of wires on them determines the type of mirror
    3 wires - normal electric
5 wires - electric with demist
7 wires - electric with retract

i dont know. i didnt bother to count how wires were there. but im sure i have 3 at least. it was either 3 or 5 i saw

Kev has a demist mirror from another car

It depends whats hidden in his door harness, but I think most NADM's are demist type

yea i think i do have the demist ones. judging from my pictures it seems like that big blue plug hooks up to the other blue plug that st165-2765 posted up.

this is what im talking about if i lost ya

    this....

    ...hooks up to this......

but then the rubber thing that goes through the door looks tough to hook up.

Kev, thats what connects the door wiring to the car

You need to find the white pugs inside the door
they will be taped to the harness to hide them (looks like those mirror plugs- (the green arrow)),
you may have electric window winder plugs in there too!

nope i dont. i ran the wires through the day i took the pictures and it only had a thick wire with two of them connected to it and both of them ran to the lights. the wires ran from inside through a hole in the door then to the lights. and that was it. my doors were pretty empty. i'll open up my door again tomorrow and see what i can find. if i can find the mirror plugs then you have saved my troubles stig. if not, then i will have to get a set of wires then. :( pictures of my progress will be up too.

In that case there should be 5? more wires on the car side of the blue plug than on the
    door side?
If so, you only need to run 3/5 wires to the mirror on each side

You may want to take this plug appart and count the number of connectors inside it.

It does not look like the same plug as I have for a power door. So you may need to replace other harnessses as well or create a custom harness.

Heres a closeup of the power door harness main connector. I'm guessing its a 82152-20330
****Special note**** this is the drivers side harness so you need to compare it to your drivers side connector. The passenger side connector will be differeent.

As you can see all but 3 of the possible connectors inside the plug have been used.

Checking the EPC it is clear that there were 4 different wiring harnesses depending on what power options you have.
