While it's not as sexy or as much fun as the Celica, taking the Yaris out for it's first Auto-X event! A little bit worried about getting around the ABS/SCS/TCS and hoping that just pulling a fuse will do the trick, no switch on these cars. Also it's been about 8 years since I ran my last AX and that was in the Celica with zero mods, so body roll for days. I'll try to get pics and post up results next week...

You need to give a try, I first started running in 1980 in a Civic and continued right up until '92. It was 2004 before I ran again and that was in the Celica, just one word of warning, after you run your first Auto-X you'll be hooked and you want enjoy regular driving again! California is a huge Auto-X community, just check it out on-line with SCCA and independent sportscar clubs.

Brought home a little reminder of todays event and hope I can pick up more of these next year...

Even though it had been 8 years since my last event, it came back to me pretty quickly!

This was an SCCA event with members paying $25 to enter and non-members paying $35, that included a $10 weekend membership. I asked if I could use my NASA membership and they said no problem and I could just pay the $25 fee, oh and since it was a Toys For Tots event, I gave them a new unwrapped toy for another $5 off the entry. So for just $20 I had the time off my life and learned a ton of info on what the Yaris needs to be more competetive.
