That sounds awesome, let me know when you guys are gonna go. I need to install better shocks, brakes, and tires before I do any track stuff.
Have you heard of using a welded LSD- I wonder what the advantages would be, You use the FE just for the .25 Mile what RPM are you hitting when you trap?
Hi, there are considered below time trials or auto crossing, so we can get away with just a few safety related things such as helmets, taped up and marked battery terminals etc, although t bar cars had to rub without roof panels.
Hi thought i would share a few pictures. It was a cold early morning start! both these 205s were running big power, the loctite car had a few suspension issues on the day. Nice Supra! This had over 600bhp!! The Mr2s suprised many, as on the tight track, there nimble spped and ability to carry speed though the corners meant that they were a lot faster than some bigger bhp cars. The fensport corolla with 400bhp and the time attack ST205 This was from the sighting lap out on track! nb the window was down, as I was trying to take as much heat from the engine bay as poss, and ran with the heater full on! The winners!
man that looks like fun. now you guys can really see why i spent so mich time and money on suspension. look at the lift and body oll.
Nice man! That white helmet looks so big in that little celica haha You need to get a nice red paint job on it!
Yeah the whiteline control springs are not stiff enough, and the rear shocks are going to get swapped for Konis. I also have a brand new set of whiteline flat out springs which I am going to test. The handling was very progressive, with high grip and good warning whn the car was getting near its limits, the entire session people espin the 205s were complaining of oversteer, where as I had understeer the entire time, even with the rear sway bar set on its stiffest setting and the front dampers set to there stiffest setting. The poly bushing I have done at the front really helped me attack the slower chicanes as the steering was very direct and responsive. TBH thou, I have a very good compomise with the car being totally useable on the un even and poor roads we have here, so I am reluctant to go too hardcore. The spec of the suspension is. Whiteline control springs fr/rear Whiteline strut braces fr/rear Whiteline Anti lift/castor kit for the front Whiteline adj Neg camber bolts fr/rear Polybushed std frontsway bar Polybushed front suspension KYB AGX front shocks 4 point setting Rear std new OEM shocks Whiteline rear sway bar 3 point adj 205 40 17" yoko parada tyres running on 7.5 x 17" compomotive MOs All set up by Pro workshop, with car corner weighted. So you can see its far from stock and the kit is all new, imagine how bad it would be with worn std suspension.
Update on this. I have a confirmed entry for the 2008 championship. http://www.toyota-sprint-series.com/for ... m.php?f=24 There are 5 events in total including a night event, which should be awesome. I am planing further work on the suspension, and reducing weight in the car before the first event in March. If its okay with you guys I would love to show my UK support for the site and run a few stickers on the car. I can get stickers made by my company, if someone could send me the artwork. I plan to get the car mag featured next year too, as the event is attracting a lot of attention, I realise that I may not win, in fact my car is too much of a road compromise to challenge overall, however I am damn sure I will give it a real good go. I will keep you all updated with pictures etc and fingers crossed videos too In the meantime, couple of vids from the oct event. sadly I not featured, but you can see the cars and track! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=f55r7PN2Ex8 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=95xVmUJky ... re=related I finished almost the same time as the guy in artisto and he had 400bhp!, heavy auto car thou lol
