Guys i have a gauge that reads lean, optimal, rich, not digital. On tick over it reads from the top side of lean to mid range of optimal., At part throttle around 3-4000 rpm it reads around mid range of optimal. Haven't tried wot yet but i guess it should read the lower part of optimal.

Is this right on tick over that it jumps between lean and optimal ?. Cheers guys for any info.

yes it is normal for a narrow band gauge to "walk". they pretty much do that non stop.
