hi, im new to this site. Im from aus and i bought my first car: a 1989 Celica ST162 around 8 months ago. I recently just got my license so been cruisng in this celica alot let me know what you all think bout the car. I planning to do some mods on it when i find the money. probally start with the rims. you can sorta see my muffler in this pic (haha old pic - back wen i was still on my learners haha)
Hey, if you got an 89 gt-s questions I might be able to help you out, I think I've asked enough for the both of us lately. This site is way better than any other out there, people are smart and actualy respond to your question unlike some other celica forums. p.s. Does that celie have a cat or is it straight through? How much hp does an Ausie gt-s product stock?

I been 2 a couple celica forums and this one is by far the most active. mephtar, i only have a cat but i intend gettin it done straight through wen i get the money. I beleive the 89 gt-s 150hp. Coz of the age of the car i doubt the car will be able to max up to that though. btw the paint is dark pearl blue.

been a while since i posted. but planning on getting an all trac front bumper with fog lights from the scrap yard. wondering is it easy to fit on my st162? is it bolt on? Thanks.
that's what I plan to do, but I'm trying to get the sideskirts as well (should get it running first) I believe theres a bracket or some such piece tat the alltrac bumper has that you need to get it to bolt right on...just grab as much as you can with the bumper from the wreckers.
Reaally nice car you have! Did you get it painted or bought it like that? How much for? The paint job looks awesome and not sure if they are or not, but the tinted windows go with it nicely! I'm definately jealous mate!
yeh i prob try get the full kit(front,side,rear) to balance the look. I actually havent been to junkyard yet so don't what condition it is in but will go soon. if you do get around to fitting the all trac bodykit, let me noe how it goes. Thanks.
also nice to see that there are some aussie users on here as well. thanks maculous. the paint is a respray of the orignal paint which is dark pearl blue. When i bought it, it had just been recently resprayed. Got it over a yr ago for 4k from mechanic friend which is alright considering he had done a bunch a work on it to get it up to scratch and so far havent had a single problem. and yes they are tinted windows. and alman162, yes they came with car. hope you find dem. and if any1 has fitted or noes how to fit an all trac body kit to an st162, feel free to offer advice thx.
theres a college right next to my school with a bodywork program, I'm gonna see if they'd install it/paint my car for relatively cheap. everytime I see my stupid too-short sideskirts I cry on the inside.
