Thanks KillemAlltrac So I think its time to rebuild my 4A-GE,its burning some oil and something it's knocking inside at cold starts...lets see if I can do that until the end of the year!
Hey guys! Last month I changed the rod bearings and valve cover seals because they were leaking. Still need to adjust valves, they still knocking... I'm trying a new tyre setup for track days, touge etc...I normally use 195/50 r15 all around now I'm using 205/55 r15 at the front and the same 195/50 r15 at the rear...still need to test it,but I believe the front will have a little bit of more grip.
Theres some videos of last year track day on page 10,unfortunately no pics :/ This year I only did a track/drift days with the Starlet because I wanted to rebuild the celica engine before take it to the track again...
After 5 months without working the celica is alive again! I changed some stuff in the car trying to discover the problem and finally I made it with the help of a friend...the crankshaft sprocket was broken. The car is running good now! Have new oil, air and fuel filters, spark plugs, map sensor, distributor cap, cleaned intake manifold and gas tank etc I sold the enkei/mazda mx3 wheels, now Im looking for new ones.
And back to daily car again! I sold the starlet last year and had a family car until now, but my sister in law need it now so the celica is a dd again after 2 or 3 years. Lets see if I can find some cheap car in the next couple of months. Random pic lol
Surely it's a pleasure to use the Celica daily ? I like that last photo very much, your Celica looks great and I like the background.
Thank you Steve sure,is a pleasure to drive the celica everyday minus the fuel price/consumption But its also true at least happens with me,when I drive the celica for a long time it just feels like a regular car after a few months...and then when I drive a regular car again I'm like "wtf is this?" Then I drive the celica and it feels like the celica again Maybe some of you guys have the same feeling too...
Very true ! Our Celicas are beautiful cars to drive and I'm not saying that just because I'm biased They're smooth, handles beautifullly and most important.......it looks fantastic
0€ "cold air intake". I had the air filter box without piping on the front,so thats lots of hot air from the engine bay into it. Had this tube in the garage and I think it could work fine. Just need to paint it black.
November I believe its gonna be track day month for me :colbert :twisted I would like to drive the celica in a wet track, lets see...
Yes that was my thinking exactly. Sometimes I see mods on other cars that look completely out of place but that suits the Celica perfect. Where are you thinking of putting it ? That is quite important too
