any idea on the afm deal? will a 3sge afm work or does it have to be GTE specific?

 

dammit, anyone have one for sale? Pretty sure the afm is bad, it doesnt open or anything when the car starts.

does this sound like it should fix the problem, thats the best i can conclude about it is that the afm is bad, is there a way to test it? Let me tinker with it a bit and i'll let you know for sure.If i do end up getting it do you take money order?

 

no im gonna clean it out though it is pretty dirty and it doesnt look like its ever been opened.

 

Oh and the little vaccum hose that the boost gauge hooks to on the left side of the intake where does it go? one end in the intake and the other goes? Heres one that still confuses me too, why is it that som Tracs have different coolant resevoirs? Some have the normal style white plastic box and others have a black deal with a rad cap and stuff? My Red Trac has the plasytic box and the white Part Trac has the black deal.

 

Turns out some has screwed with the AFM. I noticed the glue on the top was kinda strange lookin. So i decided to take the cap off of it and found that they have broken the little metering arm. So looks like a new AFM is in store, you cant order these from parts stores can ya?

 

kinda strange that you can order these, looks like i'll be getting mine from mafix.
