I bought the stickers for the trunk and other 2 for the sides, to apply after painting the car ... Here is another short video filmed on the open road just to hear the engine noise... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXqO0GOcafI
The ST162 is back to home already painted.... Now it is time to replace the windshield. Tools used: Sikaflex 256-Kit which includes a steel cable to remove the old windshield, a primary and a tube of glue. It was necessary to sand the entire surface until no have traces of rust and then put the primary and allowed to dry for 30 min. At the same time… I put the registration plate in the right place with the original support the final details… Past few hours...I Have put water over the glass and did not enter to interior ... so it must have been well done...
Well done on the windshield. It must have been a very delicate and awkward job at times. Looks like you used the original trims with the green clips ?
yes, I used the original trims with the green clips. IIt easy to install, but it is a bit difficult to strip it without breaking.
Great thread, very inspiring. Sadly there's about -26 celcius outside here in Norway at the moment, so my car is in hibernation now I'd give much to have access to a garage like the one you guys work in. Looks very tidy and organized! I've done the same mod on the taillights, I think it looks awesome compared to the original setup. Also, your radio is quite similar to my 2-din, I've got an Ippec player installed in my car. What kind of player have you got there...? Nice USB mod also! All in all, an awesome worklog thread... I can't wait to see how this turns out. I hope you understand my written english, as I am Norwegian I wish you good luck, keep up the good job!
Thanks Phinex. I have a Mitsai player installed in my car. the interface is a little basic, but it was cheap and works very well. and reads the AVI extension, which is the video format that I most use. I'll keep posting the news. So, keep watching the project
The plastics of the sides are assembled. I also spent cables to connect your amplifier and subwoofer later. The roof is ready and assembled... The plastics of trunk are also now in place:
