Hows this build going Scott, Not to many problems i hope.

Will be doing the 205 swap to my 165 when the time comes for a new transplant.
So will be good to have something to refer to.It's always the wiring a mate.
Any way good luck with the rest of the project. The car looks great by the way

    UPDATE!!!

ST205 Engine is officially in the car and bolted up! I could have done this earlier but I wanted to have easier access to all the wiring. The wiring is about 90% complete. It should start coming together quickly now. Hopefully I dont hit any other obstacles.

Unfortunately I don't have pictures right now but I will take some when I get a chance. I lost track of time while working on the car and was late for work today  so I didnt have a chance to take pics.

All that is left is connecting axles/driveline. I need to get a new power steering hose and a few other odds and ends then complete the wiring...I'm also swapping out a Walbro 255LPH fuel pump after I get it running. I thought about doing the fuel pump at the same time but decided not to...If for some reason it wont start I know its something on the engine side and not the fuel pump side if I wait...I'm just playing it safe!

Sean: let me know when you are ready to do your swap. I've gathered TONS of information about the wiring and would love to help. There is very little info out there about the 205 swap. I would love to see a lot more of them done. I was speaking to someone the other day who started one a couple of years ago, He got stuck on the wiring and ended up selling it for next to nothing because he couldn't figure it out. Its a shame that there is so little info out there. I would love to help anyone that has any questions about it.

Scott, it's a good thing you swapped engines for before your other one blew. That aftermarket turbo you had on there was not a Garrett M12. I know because I have the same one on my parts car. It was a chinese knockoff and everyone from 3SGTE drivers to Honda and DSM drivers have had those disintegrate on them. They sell for $150 on eBay.

Might be good information to pass on to member electrichoodgt since he is the one who bought the turbo and engine off of me.

So engine is in. Doesn't look like much right now...still taken apart and no wiring harness on yet.

Been a while since I've updated this...I got the car running last week and took it on a short drive around the block! I'm in love all over again! lol I've got a couple CEL codes i'm trying to clear and I"m trying to make sure that all my vacuum line are routed correctly.

I am having issues getting my coolant system burped. I try squeezing the top rad hose with the car running and I get some air bubbles out but it doesn't seem like it is doing much as far as getting air out of the lines...any secrets?

I've got a major exhaust leak just after the down pipe so it is incredibly loud, hopefully a new exhaust can be done soon! I will try and post video of it soon.

It is amazing how much more smooth the car runs now! and the new transmission is like butter! I'm in love with it all over again. I do still have some quirks I have to get figured out but soon everything will be done and perfect!

Sorry no videos yet...It is really loud with the hole in the exhaust so I like to leave it running as little as possible in my neighborhood...I may try and get a video tomorrow but we will see how much time I have before leaving for work!

Thanks for everyones comments to help me get through this swap! there were times where I wanted to give up, I'm glad I didnt!

This is how it currently looks. The tape around the IC piping is an insulation tape for keeping out temps of up to 700 Degrees Fahrenheit. that should be plenty efficient!

Brakes are also painted red as well...Not sure I have a pic of it right now but it can kinda be seen here.

Thanks for the complements guys. It's coming together great! I have a 3 inch down pipe and a boost controller on the way now. Boost is currently down to 8 psi through all gears thanks to a broken turbo vsv that keeps boost at 8 psi in 1st gear. The boost controller will fix that issue
