Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** Thanks again guys, glad it looks good. The trim is back on freshly painted but I didn't have time to take pictures since I had to head back to Santa Cruz for school. I left my car at home so that the clear coat can harden. So for two weeks I won't have any pictures. I'll definitely take pictures once I get to wash the car.
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** right, what was the code for that red!!!! I WANT IT!
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** I asked for 3E5 -> Super Red. It looks a bit brighter though or maybe thats how it was back in the day.
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** Yea It is. It stands out and many people stare .... I totally need to get an alarm for it
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** that and a quick release steering wheel! thats if you feel you need it.
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** ok.. you've me convinced on that colour... i was going to go tommy makinin but now ive found my red!!!
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** Wow that piant looks awsome! I have super red II also and it isnt that bright looking. What made you want to color match the door handles? Keep up the good work.
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **back from the paint shop** I'm gonna try to get one. possibly a classic nardi steering wheel. glad I could help in the decision haha...just had to put it on. Well since I was color matching the bumpers, mirrors, side skirts and the mudflaps, leaving the door handles black would seem kinda out of place...well...to my eyes, it would.
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" hey guys Haven't been online for awhile....you know how it is....school took over my life. Anyways....update on the celica......1st gen 3sge engine finally gave up on me. I was heading up a mountain highway called 'highway 17' to head towards santa cruz *for the locals you know what that mean* half way up it, KAPLOW!....crazy....bearing from 2nd piston goes....and the piston begins to smack the head violently destroying the spark plug and valves. sad5 So.... it looks like i might have an engine swap.....i'm not gonna give up on the celi... ....she soo much potential. I always liked NA so im gonna stick with it and probably go for either a RedTop BEAMS 3sge or the GrayTop BEAMS 3sge. I found a website on how to install the GrayTop....but its in japanese.... http://sk-dr2.bglb.jp/curren/modify/index.html help anybody know japanese or anyone that I can get this translated?! Also does anybody know any good engine importers? So i can look through their inventory and see find. I want to get back on the road by spring hopefully....
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" dang, that sucks dude! well, matt is half jap. maybe he might know a bit....
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" the web page is pretty easy to translate, also google has a tool for translation, here is the page translated, its understandable but its pretty literal http://translate.google.com/translate?u ... =&ie=UTF-8
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" totally didn't realize that google had a translator  ......thanks matt for that. hey guys, whats should i go for a Blacktop 20V 4age or a GrayTop BEAMS 3sge?
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" ok... just think... which would be better to say... i fitted a 2 ltr grey top when my other engine blew.... or i fitted a 20v 4age.... if it was me id try and keep it in the family... the greytop will be a bit more of a kick if you ask me!
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" hmm you have a point.....guess i'll keep on waiting for that BEAMS 3sge then....keep it 2.0 L auto
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" ya, i think you should! its the better option and less work and changing!
Re: st162rocket's 87' GT-S **out of commission.....for now" haaaaapppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyy biiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhddddddaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
