Now, it looks like they only sent me the front suspensions and cartridges for the front suspension also. So are these infact the rear? or am i right and i have to ship it back to the states ~_~

The cartridges are for the front, remove the old cartridges from the strut housings. The complete struts are the rears, they look very similar to the front struts.

ooooh, so the front strut housings don't really need to be changed?

    :D

phew, was scared i had to ship it back and wait another month to get em :D

Yep, front strut housings stay. While you have them off the car, I'd clean them up, maybe paint them silver like the rears. :D

the left and right rears are different because of those little brake line brakcets, they'll be mirrors of each other.

gr2, ie factory struts on gts and alltrac, lol. gt and st used tokiko, which back in the day were cheaper.

Also the sway bar brackets on the rears face different directions, so make sure they go back as removed! And if you carefully grind the top of the new rears, you can install coil-over springs right onto the stock spring perch.

shidima where do you live and how much was shipping on these bad boys? Summit racing doesn't give a quote when shipping outside usa so its stupid

We just did my friends celica struts.

When breaking the top nut that holds the front strut in the cartrige, its normal for alot of fluid to come out. Thats just the old gas struts guts but dont worry about trying to clean it or get it all out. infact, its better to leave what doesnt come out during the front struts assembly there because it helps cut back on ruts corrosion and helps them last longer by keeping them cooler. dont be surprised if they are OEM struts. My friends front left strut was still OEM (dont ask) and it had over 280000 miles on it. Lets just say struts were long over due :)

My dad taught me that one, and he is a mechanic and has been for over 25 years.

    Re:

So I am looking at doing drop-in coilovers and want to know exactly what to buy and do! You say that you can use the rear struts! And put a drop-in coilover on them. But what about the front struts? And also! What drop-ins should I buy? Ground Control all-trac ones or 5th yen ones?
