    im taking my valve covers off to replace the gasket
    but, that thick black hose connected to the front cover WILL NOT come off. is it suppose to stay on?

    You can leave it on, but it should come off.....don't force it and break it if you don't have a replacement though.

    well i was planning on painting the covers. but that hose would be in the way. is the silver part suppose to come off with it or just the black hose? oh and the thing wont budgee i tried my hardest to get it off with no luck o.o

    Only the hose should come off, the silver part is part of the valve cover.

    You can buy hose to fit it, you just can't drive it until you replace it.

    its a fuel line right?

    Maybe, I think I used heater hose....maybe not though. If it's got the fiberglass in the rubber part then it's probably fuel hose....

    so do u think i can still re use it with that crack in it mafix?

    just get some vacuum tubing. or fuel line. replace it. it's cheap.

    make sure your dont pull out the part of the valve cover that the hose is connected to. otherwise you will be like me and have to replace the entire cover. of course it wasnt my fault it came out though...some how it just did and i pushed it back in. stupid thing!

    my buddy has a 240sx and he replaced his pcv hose with a mini air cone filter looking thing(air breather?) can i do this on my celi to replace the hose?

    may i ask how i lose hp though? and the purpose of the hose going into the vc etc
