Greetings! This thread is to introduce our latest product. The xiiimotorsports solid engine mounting kit provides the same unique features offered in our rear end kit. The key reason for using a mount like this is to improve the overall feedback from the engine. The torque which is usually used to rock the engine around is directly transferred to the wheels, improving feedback, acceleration, throttle response. This polymer acetal; is as solid as you want an engine mount to be. Because of the reduced engine movement, hump hoses, flex pipes and other flexible members designed to flex with the engine are no long required. Sold as a complete set of 4 engine mounts. These kits are designed to fit the stock engine mount housings for the st165 confirmed, and according to the info I have gotten they will fit the st162 housings as well. Due to the nature of the part, the engine bay, cradle and crossmember, becomes a structural member of the chassis which subsequently stiffens the front end of the car dramatically. These kits are intended for aggressive street or race vehicles. Your girlfriend may not approve! Key features : - Finest quality and machining tolerance made right here in Canada with USA sourced materials - Bushings made of Acetal Copolymer certified to ASTM d6778 (Data sheets and mill test reports available ) - Improved throttle response and increased driver feedback - Direct torque transfer - Restored engine/drivetrain alignment - Improved steering response/increased front end rigidity - Greatly reduced engine movement - Ultimate durability Complete kit Price : $ 215 + shipping Side mounts only : $ 130 + shipping Thank you guys for your support, as long as its there we can continue. to be curious...what's the difference with these : http://www.gt4-racing.eu/index.php/toyota-celica-st165/engine-mount-front I've been watching these items as an upgrade to my 3sgte.
Two main differences are the material, and our kit is a complete kit vs just the front and rear mounts. The polyurethene ones that you are showing are made of a softer, cast polymer using the OEM mounting bushing. The part that we are producing uses no oem parts, its a beautifully machined solid acetal rod. There are no voids, or air pockets, it is ASTM certified to meet a standard for quality. Secondly we include the inserts for the side mounts. Which cause the engine to sag, putting drive train out of alignment, reducing exhaust clearance, and allowing the engine to jounce under road condition/load.
Interested, what would shipping to Australia be? Made the pic bigger for you too (sorry, i hate those small attachments )
Thanks Matt you can see the quality of the finish a lot better in the big picture. The mounts are not quickly cut, time is taken to get them smooth and finished to our standard. Shipping to AUS should be 40-45?!? not exactly sure yet, have not shipped any there
clear answer, when I'm ready and putting my hp's to the ground I will certainly consider changing them !
Definitely a great upgrade no matter the power level. My personal opinion, I do almost exclusively track use with my car. So the parts we make, and the parts are want are intend to strengthen that driver/vehicle connection. If I can make the car give more feedback, more predictable, and take input better it will lead to faster more enjoyable times cheers guys
Will these fit a 162? I need some new mounts for my White Lightning project, but I'd rather not get more flimsy rubber mounts.
