iv been offered a set of lenso Rs5 16x7" rims and tyres for a ridiculously low price
they are 225/45/16's with an offset of +38. i know what offset is but dont know enough about the figures. im confident the rears would b fine but for the fronts im a lil concerned they would scrub big time as my car sits releatively low. Any one every fitted 225s on before?
i also plan on the 204 front brake upgrade and will be using a 5mm spacer to make em fit wich doesnt help lol.

    heres the bad boys

You don't need spacers on the 202 conversion if you mill the brackets down
2mm on the caliper and 2mm on the hub

Those tyres look too big for the rims anyway, should be 205/40/16?

225 on 7j rims is not the greatest in terms of handling, depends how stiff the tyre sidewall is.

I struggle with 215 50 16s but then my toyos have huge sidewalls.

To be honest the issues are at the rear, front for me was fairly easy to sort, but if the rear tyre is hard against the rear strut cup the only way may be with a spacer set.

225 will fit in the rear but the front is an issue when turning.

what does it catch on in the front?

if its on full lock, you could always put stoppers on the rack.

LOL, it's not a tubbed dragster and hardly worth the effort for 225's

With FWD the conversion is even more difficult, any idea what it costs
    to shorten driveshafts?

Well it will cost a bit to cover the cost of bust hacksaws :p

TBH I am glad you are missing on these, as you can make em fit, but that wheel tyre combo just isn't the greatest, i would place money on it making the drive of the car worse.
