Not to worry my friend! KYB, which produced these struts, is near me and can service them if need be. Therefore there really is no issue with them being too old to use.
Sorry Dan.....forgot to respond to you. You are correct in that they are still a sealed housing in the rear. I guess that's just what KYB felt comfortable doing with the 4th Gen chassis.
