What to do??

    I need a new turbo..my old one will prob get buy for a bit, but its going to be leaking boost with the damn crack around the waste gate.

    I can get a new one, good for 380bhp for mine, well recomended by others, which I am in no doubt will give me an instant power gain. My old turbo was not the best design. But it takes all my money. leaving me with almost nothing for the other work on suspension, intake and head swap and re build over the winter. Knocking my plans for 6.

    Do I do it, go with a slightly richer safe map for Teeside and delay progress on the car suspension etc.

    or

    Hold back, fit the olf turbo, know that while I aint getting the best performce at present, I will be able to do all the other mods on the car over the winter and save / sell stuff over time to afford the new turbo early next year???

    If I do get the turbo it means a drive down to the place tomorrow. so little time before the race.

    for what you do keep the old turbo for now. the CT series with the cracked wastegate isn't the end of the world and easily fixable later. you need to hold the speed you have better and worry less about making more speed.

    yeah very true, It just bugs me to put something that aint perfect back on the car. But as you say, its not the end of the world at all.

    Least the manifold will be spot on.
