Was orginally going to use a UK firm called aquamist for a basic system that uses boost as it trigger, but at arround £350 its a bit costly. Having looked on various US sites, It looks like I can get some good deals shipped from the US, however would really like to hear any feedback on set ups and brands before commiting to purchase, having googled it, I have found loads of suppliers. Any really good experiences? Also recomendations for types and if its worth spending more on programble ones for later integration with stand alone manangement. also have read that people add ethanol (not sure may be wrong) for a better combustion is this true, advisable? aquamist is the only one i've known about. personally i like to keep all the extra junk out of the motor.
So you just prefer to use a FMIC? I would just like to enjoy the same performance levels no matter what the weather and in heavy traffic with high summer temps. Thought that it would take a while using a front mount to get the air cool, ie getting upto speed , or am I a bit confused lol Also heard that big FMIC can induce more lag from turbo.
it all depends on the setup. i've actually gained HP, better spool time, and better cooling...even in 100 degree weather. and for special occasions i have the no2 to cool her off quicker.
Interesting, I suppose its all down to set up, Might be I re think and go down the Nos route, but that is something I am not to sure about.
im putting water meth injection on my motor simply because im turbo charging a 3sge with higher compression and i dont really want to blow the motor. im sure you know this but most of the sites advertising water/alch injectors explaining that it cools the system and it helps to eliminate the detonation giving you a better burn, the alcohol also helps in raising the octain rating. they say with fmic and water alcohol injection you can also run more boost safely than with just a intercooler, if this is true then thatdd be sweet however i would be very slow in adding boost without internals being upgraded. check out http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ or http://www.turbomirage.com/water this is a do it yourself website but he's got some good info when it comes to stand alone and water injection http://www.megasquirt.info/ youll need to go to the turbocharging page but they have water injection listed on that page, they also have some good info by some i mean sparse hope that helps Saint
