Im having voltage issues with the car. When I starter it, the voltage guage flippes back and forth from half way to far right very violently. My Head lights, Running Lights, Break Lights, Dash Lights all Flash with the voltage. Also when driving I can feel the car studder to the voltage. Think of if you have a high powered amp with no capacitor. The lights do this. I think its the alternator but don't know. I have an Optimum Red Top and a who knows how old alternator. Edit: I jump started a 1987 Chevy Silverado Camper Edition and When I hooked up with the jumper cables the voltage stops trippin but when I disconnected them, it starts right back up again.
sounds like alternator. does the car jolt yet? are your lights dimming? i would say replace it when you have some time. it should be pretty easy to do. i havent had the pleasure of doing one on these.
try putting a fresh battery in from a donor car and see if it does the same thing. It might be an alternator issue if its fine with a new bat.
99% sure alternator. are your rpms raising and dropping and if you let your foot off the clutch the car could drive itself? thats what happened twice in my cressida and once in my corolla. get it changed soon. its gunna die. change the battery also. look into a new cap maybe. depepnding on when all that has been changed. its not usually regular maintenance stuff but if it hasnt been done in a while, it couldnt hurt.

This is actually an issue with my GTS which by the way is identical to yours. Without new wheels and tires With new wheels and tires and corner lights changed out because friends girlfriend was moving hercar and trying to park in in front of mine and broke one of the corner lights so I had to put none night shaded ones on there til I get another can.
