Do the twosrus poly motor mounts for the st165 fit the st162 too?
I just took a look at my motor mounts while i was removing AC components and saw them out of wack
plus i already have the poly mounts it's just that a mechanic friend told me they don't fit.

The motor mounts for any celica will fit the front/rear.

I have poly mounts (Speed Source) front & rear inserts in my '87 and in the '89.

Yea I bought them at twosrus but they are the Speed Source 88' - 93' GT4 poly mounts.

Great! Gonna try to put them in. Weird that my mechanic said that.
Maybe it's because the stuck out of the mount ring dunno.

I have a set of 90-93 alltrac inserts in the '89 GTS, and 94-99 in the '87. Both are fine, never had a problem with them at all.

    -ive got em. there great.

-watch that center hole (its not centered) it can be a pita to get them to fit right because of this. 1 at a time is the way to go imo.

Are you looking for an EDU on removing/reinstalling them or doing the poly inserts?

Poly inserts I have pics in my project thread.

    To just replace it's easy.

Remove 2x bolts from crossmember (2 for the front, 2 for the rear).

Remove large center bolt/nut securing mount to the transmission bracket.

    Remove old mount.

Use jack to support transmission (with wood).

    Reverse for new install.

The rear is a bitch though, you may need to loosen the steering rack or do like I did and remove the center bolt/nut, drop the crossmember, put the new mounts on the crossmember and push it into the brackets.
