yesterday morning i was headed to school and i realized that as i turn left or right, i feel a tightness in the wheel, sort of a resistance. not sure what it is, and i dont hear any weird noises. i added more fluid but it appears to be leakin out. any ideas guys?

Replace whats leaking- Either the pump or the hoses!

well considering there are no noises, could it be most likely a hose?

Can you see where it's leaking by following the stream of ps fluid?

A lot of the hoses tend to leak, so far a 5 dollar bottle of fluid has lasted me 1 year, i think its better than a 150 dollar part

It's a thing, that I only notice, when it's really cold out... like below 50. I had a creaking, from a lack of fluid. I filled it up, and a couple days later, I noticed a puddle under my car, come to think of it, it was also on the drivers side. I touched it, and smelled it, and it too was the same smell, as the PS fluid. I don't know where it's leaking from, but it scared the crap out of me! I thought my car was leaking oil... It's all over the back of my engine, also... So, I think that it's just that. I HOPE, anyhow! :D

hmm if the leak is on the drivers side then its possible its the rack... but hopefully not b/c im pretty sure that would be a huge pain to change with the engine in... i would check to see if fluid is coming out of the boot on the rack, just turn your wheel all the way to the right and take a peek, though it might be easier with the wheel off...

a bit off topic but below 50 is cold to you?! i would kill for 40 degree weather at this point, its 7* right now  .... haha sorry ill stop bitching about the weather...

I'd say the PS pump hose. Either way pretty expensive parts rack-boot-pump-hose.

Thats weird, lol. If it comes back check the p/s belt, may just be loose.

a leak is a leak. you need to check it out or get it checked. wether it leaks or does not.
