so i heard the lower your engine compression is the more it can handle boost is this true or false???

if is true then wouldn't the first gen 3sgte better choice for high boost project? since is compression lower.

yes you can run more boost with less compression.
And no 1st gen is not always the best. in fact no generation is the best. they all have ups and downs.

the 3rd gen motor is 8.5:1 compression where as the 2nd gen is 8.8:1. These are stock numbers.

I've seen higher comp cars that have low/er boost run the same #'s as low comp cars with high/er boost..IMO its kinda like a trouphy wife..you can say yea i run 15 psi but have 7.8:1 comp, or run 10 psi with 8.5 comp= same hp.
