What kind of cams did the rally 3sgte have? Did they differ from the stock cams by alot. How did they reach that aggressive sounding sound with those cams? And what size?

Very little is known about the WRC motors, they were nothing like stock.

I'm led to believe they used the 503 motor (2200cc), the internals are a secret until today.
They used different cams and gearing for different rallies, so even then there's no direct answer
They used 6 speed sequential boxes as well - the 1st time they were used

Better option would be to study the TOM's BTCC n/a motors, but even there, there is
very little in common with stock 3S motors - cams, pistons, rods, cranks, exhausts were custom made
and the heads were on backwards, gears were sequential

Try searching for pics or info on these motors and boxes and you'll see what I mean

Hm, I don't blame them. It's Toyota's official racing team. Would be interesting to know what they really did to those motors with no financial obstacle. All the resource in the world. Well mostly.
