(I'm posting this here because the majority of it is car related)

Well I pulled my car out of the garage today to have a little fun, you know :D and because my parents wanna put their "new" 2003 Toyo Sequya (how ever you spell it) in the garage, which we got a kickin deal on because it was a repo (we paid 12k.. rated at 17.5k KBB w/ a no interest loan to boot!).

So any way, I drove my AT around my neighborhood to ensure that 1, that it ran enough so that I wouldnt have to charge my battery as much, and to check that It drove in a straight line (cosmetic frame damage). I ended up stopping early because I had an appointment with the dealership to get my heater fixed in my sonata (parents were paying for it, WOOT living at home ftw) Dealership was ripoff land forced me to get a whole new climate control cluster when a small tab was broken off of the hot/cold temp nob, that cost $308 + installation ($60)

I wait an hour, ended up talking to the people at the subaru dealership (same group but different building) we started talking about the 08 WRX's and STi's he said he didnt have any full specs but the prices on the STi's were dropping with the 08's which was cool, spend a wile go back and grab a free drink :D (ok... 4 free drinks, had to piss like a mofo)

my car finally gets finished and I asked for the old broken part, so that I can fix it and sell it on the Hyundai forums to maybe cover installation of the new one LOL. I get my keys and I go to sit down in my car, check out the new stuff, which of course doesn't match (mine is glossy, this one has a flat/satin finish) but the heat works and all is good, I turn the steering wheel and put the car in drive, second I do, I hear a loud thunk/flap rattle... WTF!.... Battery light comes on, break light comes on, I go WTH!? And stop and check my e-break which is dissengaged, I'm confused for a moment as I hear my amp about takes a dump with this fading PEEEWWWW sound... I drift for a moment and realize i have no power steering... WOOOOO.

Pop the hood, alternator belt = gone... (keep in mind I hadn't turned the car off by this time...) it was sitting there flapping... yea... my dad had shown up to pay for it and well he's looking at it with "at least it happened here and not on the interstate" we go in tell them the problem, the greasy old mechanic that you cant understand comes out, yerhp thahts whuts rawng. I stand there with the no shit?! expression...

They say that have the part then they say they dont have the part... woo, they give up and go to advanced auto and buy it then tell me its going to be 20 mins till AA gets the part to them and then an hour more to install it (I had work less than an hour later)

I go back to my car to get the rest of my keys of the key ring so that I'll be able to take the truck to work and the car is on ACC... well I understand they don't know I have an 800 watt amp in the back with a direct line to the battery... but... with a car with no alt belt... left on acc... with the stereo on... EVEN WITHOUT my power sucking amp... thats going to drain the battery... (because they didn't touch the damned car in the 15 mins I was there after they pulled it in)

Now, every dealership screws shit up... but this is purdy bad... because a week before... they told my dad there was a key less entry/alarm setup for my car... and the repo guy never got that. my dad told me, I said it was weird, because I had never seen any info for an alarm or keyless in the owners manual. Guy sells my dad a key less remote that had to be ordered well... the guy never looked up my vin so when the remote came in and my dad took my car to get the POS programed took the guy 10 mins of dicking around to figure out... HEY! they didn't offer them for my V6 GLX WOOO GO TEAM GO! (dealership is called "First Team", to fuck up)

This is all fine and dandy I go home put the car cover on my alltrac and show up for work (they said I was an hour late but my manager told me 5pm, schedule said 4pm... hoorah...) I deal with the shitty life of retail and I go home... it was raining... fairly badly... I look at my car, and I expect to see a pool of water in the dip where the sun roof was removed, but there was none! Curious I lifted up the car cover, water all under the cover... WTH? I had left the drivers side window down so it was fun... I ran inside to grab a large sheet of plastic (like PVC pipe but flat) I didnt have any close enough to cover up the sunroof completely...yay... I rolled up the window but I was welcomed by a nice puddle of wetness in the drivers seats... and now I'm sitting on my bed typing this... tired, hungry, and mad at myself for buying the $20 car cover from walmart... just because I was being a cheap ass...

I also got a new job... which is fun and pays well... which pays for the AT... WOOO :D (only good thing)

Take car to dealership, they charge me 300 dollars for a big part when a little piece was all that was needed

Alternator belt snaps the moment the car is put into drive

dealership said they had the part when they didnt and ordered it from advanced auto.

I go to work, they bitched at me for being late when I was told to show up when I did. it rains

I come home, my celica has a car cover on it, but th driver side window is down and the sun roof was removed I lift the cover and its dripping water all over (thank god I sat the hood back on the car....)

my celica was soaked on the inside but I couldnt do anything to fix it that late wile it was still raining aside from cover up the hole in the roof and roll up the drivers side window

    DONT BUY BUDGET CAR COVERS....

I'm probably going to break all the clips for the hatch spoiler taking it off tomorrow... but I have to if I wanna paint everything properly.

Going to schedule for my rust and frame to be taken care of soon, thats gonna be a nice chunk of change, then I'll wait, save up enough for the exhaust Eric suggested and then go for that. at that point I'll have the car painted and it'll be legal :D

I'm estimating the car will be tagged and insured in november

I did have a good thing come out of today, My parents are giving my sonata to my sister and giving me the truck... "hoorah" </sarcasm> but I told her I had to remove all of my stereo add-ons which cost me about 200 (subs and amp 800 Watt amp + 2 800 Watt 12" subs) but $45 of it was installation of an Aux-In which my dad paid for since I got him a free lcd from work. She said she wanted to keep the subs/aux in and I said 160.. just because thats all I really paid and she said deal. So I got my money back and I'll be using that for a new windshield.

I'm also hitting up the pawn shop with a bunch of junk they were "throwing" away at my new job might bring in 100 bucks or so which is cool, any way. Life goes on... I cant wait till I get paid :D once I do I can afford the frame work :D
