hi.....kinda new to the forum but certainly not new to celicas have done 5 efi/ engine swaps im an ase master tech...so im not a complete moron. long story short i reall want a v6 in my st162 last weeken i bought an avalon...the price was right....ive located a trans on ebay (e153) from a solara but i have been looking for a longtime and cant find the axle stubs and shift cables. all of the mounts i can fab, im just getting really frustrated. could you give me a hint on where to look for this stuff...it seems like finding all the ingredients is tougher then baking the cake lol. also what are your thoughts on the lsd e153 ....then again i cant find the alltrac shift linkage to make that work either.......PLease help, swapless in spokane.
To my understanding the e153 transmission with LSD is one of the best options available for transmission upgrades. I'm running one in my '89 GTS with a gen4 3s-gte motor. Not sure what you're looking for, but if it helps I do have some alltrac crossmembers and shifter cables siitting around.
