So i walk to the gas station on my lunch break an on my way out I spot a 162 at a pump...so I proceed to walk over an strike up a convo...well after a few minutes of shoot'n the shit about our celicas he process to tell me he has a spare FE he's lookin to offload an will sell it to me on the cheap...it's not a 50k Japanese but it's in workin condition an should get me along till I swap the GTE...thank god for good people an a dope fellow 4th gen'er!!!
i did but hes not on it, and the news gets even better haha...he's gonna trade me the FE for my enkies (im prolly loosin $ value wise but i didnt plan on using um again because im gonna go down to 15's so i just as much trade um for something i need!)...hopin to pick up the engine sunday, the car next weekend from easter WA *fingers crossed*...do a basic gasket/belt/tune up on the FE next paycheck an maybe just maybe have the car running again before december if i dont catch any snags...but by christmas for sure! (my original goal since she blew up on me christmas eve last year lol) and with this new FE i can take my time with the GTE, spend a little extra an make an even badder motor! im sending out a payment for a WRC turbo setup today so thats also pretty exciting. (pics to fallow in my build thread) on a third note, if i can talk to this guy an maybe his roommate (sounded like his roommate runs a 162 or somthing similar) when i get my baby back on the road we should try to put togather some kind of 162/early model toyota club togather, mabey talk to vietnamesevo too see if he's down or whoever else in the seattle area
