take out the interior piece that is the center-most, back piece (the piece in front of your license plate), then you'll see in the middle, under where the hatch courtesy light would be. 4 screws and 1 10mm bolt iirc.

So just to make sure I have this correct. Open the trunk, take off the interior trim on the backside of the license plate and look under the carpet? I think im even more confused now//// :\

i'm not sure what to be confused about. it's pretty straightforward. consider this, the whole metal portion of the car is all ground, so it's basically any wiring that touches the body of the car. now we've told you several times that it's inside your trunk, in front of the license plate, you just need to strip off that part of your trunk from interior trims to get to the body of your car!

I think we found out what was causing the problem. Me and my dad took out the back seat to look at the light failure sensor again. We figured that since the back window used to leak that the sensor may have gotten water in it and failed. We looked at the board inside and everything was mint! So after about 20 minutes or so we checked the plug and wires and found that the Green wire (Taillights) was not making a good contact at the sensor! So we bypassed the sensor and not they work like a charm!
