89 3sfe m/t 220000 car wasnt running for a while, tried to start it whole lot of times, was a bad dist, now that its running again it seems like its smoking horrible to what is used to (only on decel bill hill), now it smokes right when you start it and rev it and moisture is coming out muffler when you rev it (black spots) checked coolant green good, oil is good just changed 500 ago, car runs fine warms up everything fine thinking maybe i flooded it too much or maybe i did something when i drove it 2 miles on 3 clynders cuz a plug wire wasnt making contact
the plugs and wires are new too, the timing i couldnt get with the light so i just been driving it then tweaking it, and i got it where it has good power so i dont think im too far off plus i run super to bump it up 2 or 3 degrees
after it sat for a while and you tried to start her up, how long was that?? I usually add a drop of oil in the spark plug holes and crank it a few times before firing it up. Maybe your springs got damaged and are leaking oil, is she using oil, do you have to fill her up?
it sat bout a month, was prolly cranked about 100 times trying to figure out everything, i had oil in 3 spark plug holes so i turned out the tubes and resealed them what do you mean springs got damaged? the car always used a little oil from a small leak and from smoking on decel which wasnt that bad, now it seems to smoke constant but still drives same with good power
don't really know the word, but the oil scraper springs I mean go around the piston to avoid oil getting into the combustion chambers.
drove it today, seems to only smoke when started at idle or at revs above 4, other than that runs good, its tired looking for a new motor i guess
You need new rings (what Lonewolf is saying) Do a compression check and you will see it's only going to get worse from here. Good news is the FE responds well to a hone and new rings, also you need to put seal restorer in the oil before the valve seals start cracking New pistons are pretty cheap for these too from Clevite etc, your seals are probably hard and the head gasket is also due for a swap At 200 000km it's usually a good idea to start scheduling a motor recon
