so ive had the same problem with my car since i bought it, put the clutch in the rpms dive down way below idle, then back up over and eventually settle out.... ive had to have my idle so high to avoid stalling.... today that has been fixed! along with springs and mudlaps shmooot sent me some random stuff including a MAF. i decided to test it with my multimeter and it tested perfect so i went to change them and realized his had a different part number...after figuring out they are still really the same i tested mine...way off on 2 numbers in hte test. put the new one in. PERFECT wow this is awesome. i wonder if itll help my fuel economy hehe sorry really excited
and the even better news... mileage starting when i decided to deliver pizza again... did like plugs and stuff 15 Decided to drive like a bitch 21 Driving like a bitch but commuting to school everyday (lots of cold driving) 19 after new MAF.... 26.8!!!!!!!!!!! wtf! did exactly 100 km on a full tank, 8.845 liters to fill up wow am i happy and its so much smoother gonna do a larger test that 100 km now obviously but ya
the funny thing is I think that is my old AFM that I had pulled apart and modified....I just found it in the shed. If it looks like the top has been pulled off and resiliconed then it has indeed been modified. I think I put a stock one back on cuz I was running quite rich. But hey if it works for you then booyah
ya it was definately opened up, but so was mine ;p rody if u goto the 1989 service manual on the bgbs on celicatech one of the pdfs is about fuel injection and it has how to test it there
