So my ride is lowered with the Eibach's Pro Kit Spring and Brand new KYB GR2s and I had stock GTS rims with 205/60/14 tires and I would get some serious rubbing when taking hard corners. Looks like I am hitting the plastics. I haven't rolled the fenders but when I do roll my fenders will this solve my problem???? Or will I have to trim the plastics??? Anyone have this problem???? I no am running stock wheels from my 7th Gen 195/60/15 definitely more rubbing (ofcourse taller tires) now I have to drive like a grandma into the corners.

I have the same problem with my car also... But im running 215/40.17 i am also lowered on Eibachs..... I also had the the same problem With my old celica And i had the AGXs in the front and was lowered on suspension techs, i was also running the stock wheels, But Now speeddemons girl has my old celica... and they are running 205/40.17....... Neither of us have rolled are fenders either.... We're still try to figure out why we rub going around corners hard..... It sucks Cause it tears up the tires

weird I've got the prokit and new kyb gr2s and mine don't rub at all. I've got 205/55/15 on there....And I can barely get my thumb in between the tire and rear well. ANd I drove it pretty hard last summer but didn't hear a single rub. This year I've got some 205/50/15 to put on there so I'll have even less of a problem.

Have you done any sway bars/strut bar/anti-body roll upgrades? Also are you hitting corners real fast and hard?

What kind of spring are you running? Also where did you get the clear corners???

I noticed mine was hitting plastic so I think I might roll the fenders and then trim the shit out of the plastics cause I can't stand it rubbing. I hate not being able to throw my car into fast corners........I'll let you know how things go.

how does your car ride??? Is it pretty firm???? All I know is that the GR2s and the pro-kit was going to give me a street performance feel, my ride is pretty comfortable but when I throw her into corners I definitely feel body roll. You must have down something to not get it to rub...................

Here is a good temporary solution, so you can still drive it without wrecking your tires. It will increase ride height a little, stiffness a lot.

I buy mine at part source, I'm sure they'd have them at a place like autozone as well.

It's strange that everyone has all this trouble with rubbing. When I had the stock tires on my race car, with the intrax springs, it never rubbed. And that's a 1.75" drop. I think there was a much, much heavier spring in the front right corner though.

Thanks for the temp solution....but I am looking for a permanent one. I can still driver her, just carefully in the corners. I may need to get stiffer/heavier duty springs for my driving style. Any suggestions.

my clear corners are standard over my way :p

and i cant remember what coils i have. i have king lows under her but either kyb or koni... im pretty sure they are koni shocks

they are stiff as all hell but still rub. my tyres are a little wider than normal tho... so i guess thats expected!

a couple years back i put on the intrax springs and kyb gr2s in the front and oem in the rear. i would rub all the time in the front and rear. just last year i upgraded to kyb agx's all around and no more rubbing at all. imo gr2s are very comfortable for everyday driving but way too soft for any spirited driving.

thats weird, when i had my 17s on (215/40ZR17) and was lowered quite far on some crappy sleeveovers, i would not rub at all, but with stock springs i started rubbing haha

make sure ur camber/allignment is proper and that ur strut bolts are tight haha (when u get tired u may forget to tighten everything, burning rubber smells fun)

I dunno what I did mang. It rides beautiful for me...no body roll at all....I only it on for a couple months at the end of the summer...and no alignment. When I pull her out in May I'll be getting an alignment and replacing the control arm bushings as well so maybe my lack of alignment has something to do with me not rubbing

How are the AGX's for daily use??? Bumpy? Stiff? I want my celi to feel solid and firm in the corners. How does you ride handle? Also did you have to roll you fenders? What size tires are you running as well?

i cant really comment on how they are daily b/c i dont drive the car daily. i got the car back in 05' with 44,xxxmi and now it has 49,xxxmi haha.

when i first put them on setting 2 all around. it was a big improvement, no rubbing. i currently ride with them on setting 4 all the way around, its not fun at all especially here on the 'great' streets of chicago.

no fender rolling yet, but i need it in the rear b/c i run h&r 15mm spacers back there. i mainly have the 7th gts wheels with 215/45/16s, but right now i have 15x7 team dynamics 1.2s with 225/50/15. mild rubbing with the shocks at full stiff, otherwise alot of rubbing b/c they are wider. going to put the gts wheels back on next week for autox b/c the have the rs2s.

So I decided to play with the idea of rolling my fender and talked to my buddy who owns a shop and has lots of experience with rolling fenders. We came to a screw toward the center part of the fender which sticks out more than the others and definitely was being rubbed. So we took a piece of solid plywood about 2" thick, a crowbar and carefully pushed that screw up about half and inch. Yes it actually worked. That was my problem all along. I will continue to roll the rest of the fenders and push up as much as I can without any damage. I will take some pics and post later. Hopefully those that have this problem will try this and it should work with success. I still rub a little but no where as much. Until then......
