hello all, just want to know, what rims from other makes of cars fit my 89 celica, i see on ebay rims for sale from maybe a wrx, in the sale add they sometimes mention "suit toyota" and sometimes they mention other makes too, some of these rims are a good price and look good too, so can any of you just give me a bit of a guide here that would be greatly appreciated., thankyou for your help:driving
Depends on your car. Is it the 4 or 5 lug? You'll need the bolt pattern to match up (4x100 or 5x100 depending on your hubs). Also it wouldn't hurt to check the offset of them and make sure the tires/wheels won't rub due to oversized.
Hey southaussiefella, welcome to the forum got any pics of your car to share? is your Celica an ST or SX model? if its an ST it will have a 4x100 bolt pattern, SX has 5x100. The wheels you've seen advertised for WRX's are 5x100, other cars that share the same bolt pattern include Subaru Liberty, VW Golf and Audi A3 but as 4thgenceli mentioned they all have a different offset and may not fit. Look for wheels with an offset of around +38. cheers, Matt
Hey,my celica have a 4x100 bolt pattern and I have Mazda's MX3 wheels!Too bad the offset is +40 and it needs spacers on the rear wheels! However a friend of mine bought some old school audi wheels for his renault and they dont fit because of the center bore...better check that :roll
What look are you going for? A White Lightning with the white OZ rally wheels would look awesome I reckon. Mesh wheels also suit these cars very well, as do multispokes, or any classic five or six spoke design, but it's all down to personal taste isn't it. Check out the Celica p0rn gallery for some ideas. Don't go too big or you end up with 4WD ride height, like this
yeh the white rims would look killer, not totally sure what i want yet, missed out on a set of wrx rims, that bronze colour look ,only $76,didnt know if they would fit. hence starting this thread., but once i drop the height a bit.. i'lll keep looking for a used set for the moment might get lucky
You'll need spacers to run WRX rims, they have a higher offset. I bought a set of wheels that had been on a Subaru, the fronts fit OK but the rears were hard up against the spring cups.
