ah ok thanks im diggin these in steel gray or gun metal http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=40 lower her like 2-3 inches and throw those on and that would look bad ass
That's odd, b/c stock offset is +39mm for 86-89 GTS'. You're right though about checking the offset. I run the 1995 GTS* rims (with +45 offset), but have to use a 5mm spacer in the rear or they will rub the struts. *GTS model for Canadian Market only; GT for USA.
I found a really nice set of 17in Advanti's off a Scooby and they also fouled the rear shocks without spacers. Eventually settled for a set of Gen7 16in rims which look stunning on these cars but one thing niggles me - they fill the front arches, but the rears have a gap - looks like the rear track is much narrower than the front?
Not sure what you mean, they look the same width to me. I agree, Gen7 (or Gen6) OEM rims are the best bang for the buck. They are heavier than they look though. Not sure what you mean about the rear vs front width, they seem the same to me.
What I meant is it looks like you need +40 fronts and +20 rears in order to fill the arches properly. I stand corrected, it turns out some VW rims do fit the Celica 5x100, they are: VW Beetle from 2000 on VW Golf MK3, MK4
Yeah running a wheel spacer helps fill the wheel well just like the 185's. Im running a 15mm spacer in the back.
