How do you remove the AT body kit? I'm getting ready to send the car off to the shop for a lot of fixation welding galore will happen on Monday and Tuesday.

Need to get it off tomorrow so I can mark everything for cutting/welding

If I get it back Tuesday I'll be prepping the car for paint :D SO HAPPYS

This diagram shows the fasteners, so it'll give you an idea how to remove them. Be very, very, careful though - they will almost certainly be rusty and fall apart. You'll probably have to fabricate some fasteners just to reattach everything. I'll try to get a bigger pic, but in the meantime, here you go...

COVER... not the bumper... Front bumper is "welded" in spots, getting that all fixed, I just dont want my kit to be in the line of fire when they start hacking the rust off

Does the rear bumper cover have to have the bumper off in order to remove it?

There are some screws on the bottom, then put it on it's back and unscrew all screws and of it comes, but it feels a bit like it's glued to the bumper..but thats not the case ;)

I got it off in like 10 mins

How the hell did you get the fasteners out from the bottom of the side skirts? Thats all thats left holding the side skirts to my car and I cannot get them off. I stripped 1 just sticking a screw driver into it. Next is a drill.

you mean the thing on the bottom? I have this little tool that has a split tooth (like the back of a hammer/crowbar) Popped it right out...

I finished sanding today... My car has been fucked up... only 1 reported wreck in the car which was front end... WHERE THE HELL DID THE DENTS ON THE ROOF COME FROM!?

doors have alot of bondo in them.. dunno if its factory or what.

I went through 3 layers of paint... there was rust behind the passenger side rear tire... the metal behind the bondo and many layers of paint had withered away... looking from the inside its all body filler...

Dents on the roof can come from years of the roof flexing. Also from the sounds of it your car has had a rough life anyway. Could have been something falling on it...walking on it...you never know.

Oh you must mean a drill, cause that worked great for me. Just drilled right out. Popped right off. :D

Well some one used a lot of body filer and then painted it properly to make it look like nothing had happened... there are all sorts of random drilled holes in the roof that were filled with bondo as well I'm wondering WTH happened to this car...

I'll be treating it right, full care and proper storage :D

Maybe it was in a hail storm?

A hail storm must have been dropping 2 foot blocks of ice down on the edge of my roof then...

but the wholes that looked drilled in make me wonder... its really confusing... the title only has 3 owner transfers (me being the 3rd) so I don't know...)

I was considering a 205 swap in the future but I may just buy another trac...
